Apple MacBook Neo A18 Pro 8GB Unified Memory 256GB SSD 13.0-inch (4 Colours)

Apple MacBook Neo — Performance Overview

\nThe Apple MacBook Neo is a highly compact, fanless ultra-portable laptop engineered for efficient daily learning and streamlined on-the-go productivity. Available at our Kathmandu showrooms for an attractive special offer price of Rs. 130,900 (discounted from the regular retail price of Rs. 125,000), this laptop provides clean, quiet performance. It is powered by the ultra-efficient 3-nanometer Apple A18 Pro chip, featuring built-in Apple Intelligence running natively on macOS. However, as an entry-level computing tool, it has some honest ceilings: the 8GB of unified memory is soldered directly to the system-on-chip and cannot be upgraded, and its dual USB-C port design is split, meaning only one port supports faster USB 3 speeds and external display output while the secondary port is limited to standard USB 2 charging speeds.

Who This Laptop Is For

\nThis laptop is an excellent choice for university students, administrative managers, and daily commuters who primarily read research PDFs, manage Zoom calls, write essays, and browse multiple Chrome tabs. The vibrant 13.0-inch Liquid Retina display offers crisp, high-resolution visuals at 500 nits of brightness. However, because it uses a passive, fanless cooling system and has an entry-level integrated 5-core GPU, it is not built for running heavy 3D rendering pipelines, advanced software compiling, or sustained high-frame-rate gaming.
\n

Upgrade Options

\nThe Apple MacBook Neo features soldered unified memory, meaning RAM upgrades are not supported. For storage expansion, the motherboard houses a single PCIe NVMe solid-state module containing the pre-installed 256GB SSD.
\nTo upgrade your storage capacity, you must replace the existing drive with a larger SSD or rely on external SSD drives, as there are no secondary SSD slots available on this highly compact frame.
